Welcome to Laconia Bike Week at the Smokehouse, Laconia's bike week is the oldest running motorcycle rally, as well as one of the big three. It's an incredible event, one you won't forget.
Last year an estimated 475,000 people came during the 9 day event, that's nearly twenty two times the average population of Laconia. Compress that many people into an area about three square miles in size, and the result is an atmosphere in which calling it wild is a gross understatement.
It's something that everyone should experience, at least once, and we hope to see you this year.

Bikers and rally enthusiasts flock to the Lakes Region each June to partake in the spectacular sights, sounds, and attractions that have made this event such a hit. People from all walks of life and parts of the world make the trip to Laconia to enjoy the races, take a stroll down Weirs Boulevard, and take time off of their regular life to enjoy the freedom and excitement of the motorcyclist’s lifestyle.
Wild and Crazy may be words to describe Laconia Bike Week, but what began over seventy-five years ago as Motorcycle Weekend, really has a very unique and colorful history. Traveling back to the earlier years, the races were held at Belknap Recreation Area in Gilford. They were later moved to what is now the New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, where the races remain to this day.

Although the races are held outside the Lakes Region, Weirs Beach and Laconia has always been the place to be. In the old days, motorcyclists clubs would dress in matching costumes and parade their bikes all around the Lakes Region in a fun and colorful spectacle. As the years went on, the costumes took on a different flair and a wilder style.
